HR Case Studies
According to survey results from over 4000 HR professionals, the number one reason employers conduct background checks = QUALITY OF HIRE. Eighty five percent of survey respondents uncovered a lie or misrepresentation on a candidate’s resume or job application during the screening process – up from 66% five years ago. In another study, SHRM reports that 53% of all job applications contain inaccurate information.
Employers also cannot resist mining information from social media when screening job candidates. According to CareerBuilder, 60 percent of employers using social media to research job candidates in 2016, up significantly from 11 percent in 2006.
